Lightning Bolt smashes 100 metre world record


His name is the Bolt and like a thunder-bolt he smashed the world the world 100 metres record on Saturday.
The 21 year old Usain Bolt left the field gasping behind him as he notched the distance in 9.72 seconds on a rain drenched New York's Randall Island.
At 6.5 looking ungainly and awkward he split a field that included the US world champion Tyson Gray. Technically, the Jamaican had a poor start, seemed to even ease up at the end and in fact specialises in the 200 metres, but on Saturday's showing even at such a raw point in his development, people are starting to wonder what he might achieve next...
